Die opstanding is \u2018n tyd waarin groot vreugde en hartseer nou verweef is. Iets ongeloofliks het plaasgevind, maar die lewe soos dit was, is onherroeplik verby. Iets nuuts, groots en onverstaanbaars het gebeur. Ons besef dat ons hoegenaamd nie in beheer is van dit wat nou aan die gebeur is nie. En vir ons wat mens is, is dit pynlik. Virginia Satir slaan die spyker op die kop met die volgende woorde: Most people prefer the certainty of misery to the misery of uncertainty. <\/em>Ons wil dikwels nie verander nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soos Maria, wil ons ook bly vashou aan dit wat vir ons geliefd en bekend is, maar dis net wanneer ons laat gaan, dat ons die nuwe opstandingslewe in al sy volheid kan ontvang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ons wil vasklou en vashou
die status quo behou
maar ons kan slegs
die nuwe lewe ontvang
